Claire McKee is an associate in the Employment and Labor team, Dentons United Kingdom and Middle East LLP. Claire joined the Firm in March 2010 as an experienced Employment Law Paralegal. She then trained with the Firm between August 2012 and August 2014. Whilst advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment issues, Claire specialises in advising clients on contentious employment, discrimination and equal pay matters. She appears before the Employment Tribunal in Scotland and England on a regular basis. Recent Employment Tribunal successes have included early strike out of an indirect sex discrimination claim; dismissal of a complex holiday pay/working time claim and dismissal of allegations of race discrimination complaints. Claire has recently gained experience working in-house for a local authority client on secondment. Since April 2015 Claire has acted as Assistant Editor and Research Assistant on the 3rd Edition of Employment Tribunal Practice in Scotland (Simon and Taggart), the only distinctly Scottish reference work of its kind. Claire is very interested in diversity and in supporting aspiring solicitors. Unlike many solicitors Claire attended a state funded School and was the first person in her family to be a solicitor. Claire took an alternative route into the profession which allowed her to work full time and study part time.
