Law School Attended
Trainee Solicitor | Hogan Lovells
- International student
- Ethnic minority
- First generation lawyer
I am currently a trainee solicitor at Hogan Lovells. I previously graduated from Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge with a MPhil in International Relations and Politics. Since graduating, I completed the GDLat BPP Waterloo before undertaking the LPC at BPP in Holborn.
I knew from an early age that I wanted to pursue a career in law. However, having moved to the UK as an international student, I was struck by just how competitive the training contract application process is, particularly for non-law students such as myself. I perceived the application process to be rather stringent in its pursuit of fitting individuals into pre-defined moulds. This can be especially challenging for individuals with diverse backgrounds, like myself.
I am convinced that I would not have secured my training contract without the dedicated guidance of the people in the legal profession who I was fortunate enough to speak to, and I am happy to share my experiences and offer my insights to anyone who is interested. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think I would be able to help.
