Law School Attended
Trainee Solicitor | TLT Solicitors
- Ethnic Minority
I have recently become a trainee solicitor at a prestigious law firm having graduated from the University of Manchester’s LLB programme with a First Class and from the University of Law’s MSc LPC programme with a Distinction. Prior to this I was educated in an inner city state school in the heart of Bristol.
Diversity and inclusion are both extremely important to me. Coming from an ethnic minority background and being the first in my family to pursue a career in the law I have witnessed the absence of these key elements and now that I am in a position to help others I am glad to have the opportunity to get involved with Aspiring Solicitors.
I have always been involved in diversity projects and my crowning achievement was being awarded at the Houses of Parliament for the success of my social action initiative BelieveMe. This initiative aimed to bring individuals of all faiths and none together with a view to breaking stereotypes and promoting discourse. I have also served as a mentor for a number of individuals studying law at undergraduate level. This has included providing careers guidance, vacation scheme advice, interview preparation and application review.
I am always welcoming of new mentees and will be more than happy to provide any advice or guidance to those wishing to pursue a career in law.
