My diversity networks

Profile:

I am an associate in the regulatory litigation practice group, specialising in financial services and corporate crime. I am a third culture child having grown up in Hong Kong and born in Malaysia with my ethnicity originating from India. At the age of 17 I moved to the UK to pursue my law degree at the University of Bristol and completed my LPC with an integrated masters at the University of Law, Bristol. Being a female of mixed origin who from an early age has been exposed to different cultures, both from the eastern and western hemispheres of the world, I have observed and experienced first-hand some of the challenges that people have faced within the legal and business community.

My aim is to act as an ambassador of diversity and inclusion within the legal community and inspire other young lawyers and academics in achieving their ambitions. I hope to be able to support members of Aspiring Solicitors in many ways, including creating a sense of belonging by celebrating diversity, connecting people across the business, and working with the wider community. I firmly believe that diversity brings unique and varied perspectives to the table especially to a firm that prides itself on individuality and is continuously striving towards an inclusive and diverse workplace.

I would encourage all junior members to feel empowered to take an active role in the development of their own careers as well as connect with peers their local markets as much as possible.
