I am a Senior Lawyer (qualified in South Africa) and Senior Manager in the Regulatory & Commercial Disputes team at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). I have ten years’ experience working in legal practice, including two years working at a global investment bank.
I grew up in Durban, South Africa and I am state school educated. I am part of the first generation of family members to go to University and I am the first lawyer in my family.
After moving to the United Kingdom in 2013, I was offered an in-house role with a global investment bank facing miss-selling allegations. I worked for a team that reviewed the sales of derivative products to determine whether a mis-sale had occurred and if so, assessed consequential loss claims submitted by customers.
I joined PwC September 2015. I specialise in providing advice to clients on their compliance with financial crime legislation including advising clients on anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, anti- tax evasion, sanctions and managing fraud, corruption and ethical risks. I have a keen interest in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions and financial crime matters. I have worked on numerous internal investigations and have advised clients on the design, implementation and monitoring of internal compliance systems.
