Profile:

I discovered my passion for law during my A Level studies. Inspired by my A-Level law teacher, a qualified solicitor, I was motivated to pursue a career in this field. My journey led me to the University of Leicester, where I completed my LLB. In my third year of University, I applied for a Training Contract set to begin in 2024 and was thrilled to be successful in the application process.

Throughout my LLB, I balanced my studies with a demanding role as an emergency call handler for West Midlands Ambulance Service. This experience not only honed my ability to remain calm under pressure but also instilled a deep sense of empathy and resilience. Even after securing my Training Contract, I continued to work weekends for the Ambulance service while gaining valuable experience as a Paralegal for the firm working Monday – Friday.

Living with dyslexia and dyscalculia, I have firsthand experience of the challenges that neurodiversity can present in the pursuit of a legal career. These experiences have fuelled my determination to support others with similar challenges in reaching their goals and breaking into the profession.

I am currently sat with our General Counsel Team for my first seat four days a week whilst also studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) through an apprenticeship-styled training contract one day a week. This approach allows me to gain practical experience while continuing my education.

My journey into law has been shaped by perseverance, passion, and a commitment to helping others. I am dedicated to advocating for neurodiversity within the legal profession and am always eager to share my experiences and insights with those aspiring to follow a similar path.
